ASAM ASAM – Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI) has built an Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) building to meet the needs of the community in its operational area, specifically in the village of Simpang Empat Sungai Baru, Jorong District, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan.
According to information received from the Posyandu cadres, for 13 (thirteen) years after the separation from Asam Asam village in 2011, the village of Simpang Empat Sungai Baru did not have a permanent building. As a result, Posyandu activities were carried out in public facilities such as mosques and village halls.
The contribution was handed over directly by TCPI's Asam Asam site representatives, Mr. Ery Purnomo (Acting Site Manager of Asam Asam) and Mr. Khaerul Imam (Senior Staff HCDGA Site Asam Asam), to Mr. Heriyanto (Local Head of Village), and was witnessed by the Posyandu cadres and community leaders of Simpang Empat Sungai Baru.
"The addition of the Posyandu building from TCPI is a manifestation of the company’s commitment in line with the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) program in the social health sector, to provide services to pregnant women and toddlers, as well as to monitor the growth and development of children in this area," said Mr. Ery Purnomo, TCPI representative.
"We, the village government of Simpang Empat Sungai Baru, also on behalf of the Posyandu cadres and the local residents, would like to express our deepest gratitude to TCPI for the CSR program that is well-targeted and provides maximum benefits to the community," said Mr. Heriyanto.
