On Monday, March 20, 2023 PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (“Company” or “Transcoal”) provided assistance to Bengalon District Government in East Kutai Regency in the form of 5 (five) units of SAR standard rubber boats and 5 (five) fogging machines along with fogging drugs (mosquitoes, insects, pests)  with total value equivalent to Rp. 120,675,000. This assistance is a part of Transcoal’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)  program implementation in 2023. It is expected that this CSR program can strengthen a good relations between Transcoal and the Regional Government, in this case the Government of Bengalon District, East Kutai Regency, and as well as to support smooth operation of the Company.
 
"This assistance is also a form of our concern for the community in the work area of Transcoal in Bengalon District, East Kutai, as well as in order to support the Regional Government Program in anticipating floods in Bengalon District and to create a clean, healthy environment and free from the threat of dengue fever”:  said M. Harsum, Site Manager Bengalon as a representative from Transcoal.
 
Transcoal hopes that the assistance provided is useful and can help Bengalon District work program in anticipating floods which often occur every year with the availability of rubber boats to evacuate residents affected by floods: said M. Harsum added.
 
The Bengalon District Head, represented by the Head of Trantib and General Section of Bengalon District, Mr. Adi Rasyidi and his staff conveyed his appreciation for contribution of Transcoal in caring for the environment. “I hope that this assistance can be continued so that the benefits can be felt by many people.”  Bengalon District Head said.
 
In addition, Mr. Adi Rasyidi said that there are 4 (four) villages in his area that often experience floods when the rainy season arrives, namely Sekerat Village, West Sepaso Village, East Sepaso Village, and South Sepaso Village. Hopefully with the assistance  in the form of this rubber boat, it will make it easier for us to evacuate residents affected by flooding, and the fogging machine provided by  Transcoal can control the population of aedes aegypti and aedes albopictus mosquitoes which cause dengue fever and these outbreaks usually appear after the floods recede.
