PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk Strengthens ESG Commitment through Support for Practical Training Facilities at SMK Buana Bahari

Cirebon & Tegal, August 26 & 28, 2026 — As part of its commitment to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (the “Company”) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting human capital development, particularly in the maritime sector. As a follow-up to the Company’s working visit to SMK Buana Bahari Cirebon, West Java, on Wednesday (August 26), the Company officially handed over educational and practical training equipment to representatives of the school. The handover ceremony was held at the Company’s Tegal Representative Office, Central Java, on Friday (August 28). The assistance consisted of one (1) unit of a Weichai 3-Cylinder Auxiliary Engine (Aux Engine) and two (2) units of pumps from the former TB ETI 101. The equipment will subsequently be utilized as practical learning facilities and training materials for cadets, particularly students majoring in Marine Engineering.
This initiative forms part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which is aligned with the social pillar of ESG implementation, particularly in supporting the improvement of education quality and the development of young people’s competencies in the maritime and shipping sector. The utilization of the equipment is expected to provide cadets with a more hands-on and practical learning experience. Going forward, students will have the opportunity to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the operation, maintenance, and characteristics of ship machinery as valuable preparation before entering the workforce and the maritime industry.
Representatives of the Buana Bahari Foundation, as the organization managing SMK Pelayaran Buana Bahari Cirebon, expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Company for the assistance provided. The support is considered highly beneficial in facilitating the learning process and strengthening the competencies and readiness of students majoring in Marine Engineering. The Foundation also expressed its appreciation for the Company’s contribution and commitment to supporting the development of seafarer human resources in the Tegal and Cirebon areas. Collaboration between the business sector and vocational education institutions is considered an important step in developing competent, professional, and industry-ready maritime human resources capable of responding to the evolving needs of the shipping industry. Through this synergy, the Company seeks to ensure that assets and equipment that retain educational value can generate broader benefits for the education sector.
