PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk Strengthens Its Commitment to Sustainability through Participation in Green Olympic 2026

Bengalon & Sangatta — In commemoration of World Environment Day 2026, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI) reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to environmental preservation and raising awareness of the importance of sustainability through its participation in the “Green Olympic 2026” series of activities, organized by PT Kaltim Prima Coal together with other contractor companies. Carrying the global theme “Inspired by Nature, For Climate, For Our Future,” this year’s World Environment Day commemoration served as an important momentum for the Company to strengthen its commitment to addressing climate change while promoting the implementation of sustainability values across the workplace. The Company’s participation in the program was not merely ceremonial, but also formed part of its efforts to enhance environmental awareness in a measurable manner, reduce waste generation in the workplace, and encourage active participation and appreciation among all employees.
The Green Olympic 2026 series was attended by employees of PT Transcoal Pacific at the Bengalon–Sangatta site through a variety of educational, competitive, and collaborative activities. In addition to participating as an active participant, the Company also played a role in the organizing committee of Green Olympic 2026, from the planning stage through to the implementation of the activities. This dual role reflects the Company’s tangible involvement in supporting the continuity of collaborative environmental programs.
The series of activities commenced with the Opening Ceremony, which served as a momentum to foster a shared spirit and commitment in commemorating World Environment Day. The event continued with Green Hiking and Tree Planting, which encouraged participants to engage directly with nature while contributing to greening and environmental conservation efforts. The spirit of collaboration was also reflected through the Crocodile Boat Race, a team-based boat competition that emphasized teamwork, communication, coordination, and sportsmanship. The activity provided employees with an opportunity to strengthen camaraderie while fostering a collaborative culture within the workplace.
In the area of environmental education and campaigns, participants took part in the Environmental Short Video activity, which served as a creative medium for delivering messages on environmental awareness and conservation. Meanwhile, Green Innovation Think encouraged employees to contribute ideas and innovations that could support more environmentally friendly and sustainable work practices. Environmental awareness and knowledge were further strengthened through the Environmental Seminar, which provided participants with broader insights into environmental challenges and highlighted the importance of individual contributions in supporting sustainability.
The Company’s commitment to implementing environmental principles in the workplace was also reflected through the Green Office activity, which encouraged the creation of a more efficient, clean, and environmentally friendly office environment. The activity served as a reminder that sustainability can begin with simple habits and everyday practices in the workplace. The Green Olympic 2026 series concluded with the Closing Ceremony, which served as a moment of appreciation for the contributions and active participation of all parties involved in the successful implementation of the program.
