Asam Asam – PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI) consistently continues the Company's dedication to social responsibility through the implementation of innovative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. On May 31th 2025, TCPI inaugurated the installation of three units of Solar-Powered Street Lighting (PJUTS) in Asam Jaya Village, Jorong District, Tanah Laut Regency. This strategic initiative aims to provide access to environmentally friendly and sustainable lighting for public facilities in Asam Jaya Village, while strengthening the Company's commitment to community development.
The installation of PJUTS is focused on vital public facilities that previously did not have access to electricity from the PLN network, including Village Halls, Public Cemeteries (TPU), and Al-Qur'an Education Parks (TPA). By utilizing solar energy as a clean and renewable energy source, the community can now enjoy more stable and efficient lighting, free from the worry of high electricity operating costs. This program is a real step by TCPI in supporting the availability of essential infrastructure and improving the quality of life of the community.
Asam Jaya Village Head, Mr. Dwi Wahyu Yuliantoro, expressed his deep appreciation for TCPI's contribution. "We are very grateful for the PJUTS assistance from PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk. This has helped us a lot, especially in several locations in Asam Jaya Village that have not been reached by the PLN electricity network," he said. This statement emphasized the direct positive impact of TCPI's initiative on the basic needs of the community.
Representative of PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk, Mr. Khaerul Imam, also said that this program is a concrete form of the Company's commitment to support sustainable development and community empowerment through renewable energy. "We hope that the use of solar energy can provide a long-term solution for villages that still have difficulty in accessing electricity," he said.
The PJUTS CSR program is expected to not only provide significant benefits to Asam Jaya Village, but also inspire other corporate entities to actively participate in expanding access to clean energy in remote areas. Furthermore, this initiative also supports national efforts in reducing carbon emissions and transitioning to cleaner energy.
