Demonstrating a Commitment to Sustainability, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk and PT Sentra Makmur Lines Provide Bicycles to High-Achieving Students at Three Elementary Schools

Bengalon & Sangatta — PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk, together with its subsidiary PT Sentra Makmur Lines, continues to demonstrate its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL). As part of this commitment, the companies distributed 30 bicycles as educational scholarships to high-achieving students in the Sangatta and Bengalon areas, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province, from Wednesday to Friday, August 26–28, 2026.
The program targeted three public elementary schools (SDN) located within the company’s operational areas, namely:
1. SDN 005 Sangatta Selatan
2. SDN 006 Muara Bengalon
3. SDN 008 Sangatta Utara
A total of 30 students from Grades 3 to 6 who ranked among the top 10 students in their respective classes received the scholarships. As a form of appreciation for their academic achievements, each student was awarded one MTB bicycle, for a total of 30 bicycles distributed through the program.
Supporting Inclusive and Sustainable Education
The initiative received a warm welcome and high appreciation from school principals, teachers, and parents. The assistance not only serves as a form of recognition for the students’ academic achievements but is also expected to provide direct benefits in supporting their educational activities.
The bicycles can be used as a means of transportation to support students’ mobility to and from school, particularly for those living in areas where access to transportation and road infrastructure remains limited.
Through this program, PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk and PT Sentra Makmur Lines hope to continue contributing positively to local communities through assistance programs that are well-targeted, sustainable, and capable of delivering tangible benefits to their beneficiaries.
