In line with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) programs, on Thursday, September 7, 2023    PT. Transcoal Pacific, Tbk (TCPI) provided support and participated in efforts to prevent stunting, especially in East Kutai Regency.

The form of support is providing health check-up activities and providing multivitamins and nutritious food for 500 children and toddlers as well as pregnant women with KEK (Chronic Energy Deficiency) condition which were stored in the database of the East Kutai Regency Health Service.

The theme of this CSR activity is “PT. Transcoal Pacific Cares about Stunting for the Bright Generation of East Kutai. Total amount of assistance is amounting to 120 million rupiah. This CSR activity can be carried out with the support of various parties including the Regional Health Service, Diskominfo, Dukcapil, and the East Kutai Regency Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TP2S). The location of this activity is at the North Sangatta Community Health Center.

Referring to Presidential Regulation number 72 of 2021 that acceleration of reducing stunting in a holistic, integrative and quality manner is made through coordination, synergy and synchronization between stakeholders.  President Joko Widodo even targeted the prevalence rate to fall to 14% by 2024, which is below the WHO standard which is 20%, and by 2030 Indonesia will be free of stunting.

Based on the results of the 2021 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in East Kutai Regency was 27.8%. In SSGI 2022, prevalence of stunting in East Kutai Regency was 24.7%. which means a decrease of 3.1%.

Also attending in the event was GM HCD& GA Mr. Freddi Anshary, who represented TCPI Board of Directors, PJO, Site Manager and TCP employees who was tasked with collecting data and helping distribute multivitamin aid packages to invited guests who had been recorded by the Health Office.

Meanwhile, from the East Kutai Regency government also attended the Secretary of the Health Service Mr. H.M Yusuf, Msi, Chief of Sangatta Police, Danramil Sangatta, representative of Diskominfo, Head of North Sangatta District, Head of KUA Sangatta, Head of BLUD of North Sangatta Health Center, Head of BLUD of Teluk Lingga Health Center, and representatives of other agencies.
